MUD DRAG RULES

Please see the rules of the Mud Drag Race to be held on, 14 April 2024.

Reporting Time: 9am

Process:

1. Reporting at the main gate of Aamby Valley Airstrip. Final entry point will be communicated on WhatsApp group in

case of any changes.

2. Register and sign indemnity

3. Head for scrutiny

4. Affix Stickers as directed by the marshals - mandatory

5. After scrutiny, cars to be parked only in Park Ferme area and cannot be moved out. No work can be done on the

vehicles post scrutiny

6. Driver briefing session - mandatory

Starting Order:

A. Below 1500cc Stock vehicles

B. Above 1500cc Stock Vehicles

C. Below 1500cc Modified Vehicles

D. Above 1500cc Modified Vehicles

E. Open Class

Classes:

A stock vehicle is any vehicle which has NO engine modification, no tyre upsize greater than 1 size up from stock or

has AT tyres. MT tyres even in stock size will be considered as modified. Throttle controllers, free flow exhausts,

changes in engine, changes in gearbox, ECU remaps/piggy backs (etc), bigger turbos and superchargers, changes

in transfer case will be considered as modified. Metal bumpers, rock sliders and body lifts without any of the engine

changes can be considered stock. Decision of the marshals will hold final.

Rules:

1. ISI / DOT approved helmet compulsory

2. Closed shoes (no crocs or sandals or slip ons) and full pants (no track pants / no pyjamas)

3. Valid car papers

4. Valid Indian driving license is a must

5. Car must have all doors and a A,B,C pillar or a rated roll cage

6. Seat belts MUST be in working condition and not frayed

7. Participants must enter the park ferme area before 10am. A max grace of 30 min will be given with a penalty of

Rs. 1000/- per 10 min delay after 10am. No entries to park ferme will be allowed after 1030am and the entry will

be disqualified unless there is a reason deemed valid by the Marshals.

8. Offensive Graphics, pictures, lettering are not acceptable on the vehicle

9. Tow hooks / points are mandatory - FRONT & BACK. If you vehicle has screw on tow points, they must be

screwed on before the scrutiny and must be in position during the races. If participant reports without the

screwed on tow points, they will be immediately disqualified.

10.Indemnity forms must be signed

11.Drivers cannot be substituted

12.Maximum 10 minutes will be given to drivers to line up at the start line once they are called. Any further delay will

lead to disqualification without refunds

13. It is mandatory that a licensed driver be seated in the normal driving position any time the engine is running,

including pit area, staging lanes, turn around and return roads. Failure to follow this procedure will result in

disqualification.

14. No high-speed driving or “hot-rodding” will be tolerated anywhere except on the race track. NO WARNING WILL

BE GIVEN. These actions are grounds for immediate disqualification.

15.The tracks’ “Tech Official” will have final approval of a race vehicles legality and safety for any and all classes.

The tech official will have the right to call for a re-tech OR disqualify any vehicle that they feel does not meet the

safety requirement. (Refusal to comply with a re-tech – will be automatic disqualification).

16.Marshals / Track Tech Officials decision will be final

17.Above rules can be modified on a case to case basis by the organising committee under special circumstances

only

18.Any person under the influence of alcohol or drugs as deemed by the marshals will be immediately disqualified

19.Other than driver, no other passenger allowed in the vehicle during the race

20.If any door/ bonnet or boot opens during the race, it will lead to disqualification

21.Organisers reserve the right to cancel any category due to lesser participation. Participants in that case would be

given an option to move into another category or get a refund of fees paid

22.Strictly no littering

23. In case a vehicle is stuck, organisers will tow the vehicle out and park it at a safe area. No other help will be

provided. If you are stuck, you can try to self recover for not more than 30 seconds. Post which you will be

deemed to be stuck and vehicle recovered and counted as disqualified. The marshal present at the spot will be

final authority to deem if you are “stuck” or not.

24.Any damage to vehicle during the event or recovery or anytime at the venue is not under liability of the

organisers.

25.Organisers can use any image/video/media captured for any purpose whatsoever and participant agrees to

release all rights to the same.

26. One person can drive one car only once in a category. One person can enter one category with different cars or

one car with different drivers can enter the same category as well.

27.Any party giving wrong information about their modifications will be disqualified.

28.Protest:

1. 1) Participant protests may only be filed by the driver competing in the same event, in the same class as the

vehicle being protested.

2. Any protest must be made within 30 minutes of class completion. The protest must be made in writing and

must specifically identify in detail the nature of a single violation and must be accompanied by the protest fee

of Rs. 20,000/- cash.

3. The Tracks Tech Officials – present at the event will investigate and decide the protest as promptly as possible

and shall inform the protest committee. Final decision will be by the protest committee which include: Amol

Sethi, Tejas Kothari and Rongom Mukerji and will be resolved after all the classes are finished. The results will

be declared as openly and transparently as possible.

4. If the protest is sustained, the protested racer will be disqualified from that class only. Adjustments in pay and

standings will be made, and the protest fee will be returned to the protesting racer.

5. If the protest is over-ruled, the protest fee will be forfeited by the protestor

6. The committee reserves the right to reject any protest that it determines, in its sole and absolute discretion, is

frivolous or intended to harass another participant or to otherwise gain some unfair competitive advantage.

29.If the event is cancelled due to Force Majeur, there will be no refunds.

30.All entries are non refundable and are not transferable either.
